I am recording a new solo CD and would like your support.

In this time of the coronavirus, I am hesitant to make use of Kickstarter or GoFundMe to raise money for my recording because so many other people are raising money on these sites for more important things... like staying alive.

So I am raising money here by pre-selling the new CD. Like all my previous CDs (listed below), each song tells a story. Here are three of the songs from the new CD that those who have followed me in recent years will recognize:

I Am And I Will - a fun, uptempo tune about falling in love with a twist;

On My Way To Play - about visiting my dad with Alzheimer's on my way to play music in a bar; and

Leaving You - the remake of a song recorded on my out of print 1995 CD.

For your generosity I will send you the CD with other perks listed below:

  - For your donation of $10, the CD when it is ready downloadable to your computer;

  - for $25, the completed CD shipped in the US - add $15 outside the US;

  - for $60 - the completed CD and a t-shirt (specify size) shipped in the US - add $25 outside the US;

  - for $150 - I will visit you in Los Angeles, sing you a song from the CD, and deliver a CD and t-shirt;

  - for $500 - 1 t-shirt, 2 CDs, and Executive Producer credit on the CD.

  - for $1000 - Everything listed for Executive Producer PLUS one each of all solo and TMG CDs listed below.

Checks can be written to me and mailed to PO Box 411571, Los Angeles, CA 90041,

Or you can PayPal it to me at my email address: sev1 at severinbrowne dot com. Thank you so much!

Please write a note with your payment to say what it is for. I want to be sure to get it right.

Below you will see my other 5 solo CDs. And following that you can read about the Tall Men Group, a band that I've been a part of since 2012.

Tall Men Group

You may have noticed a gap...

in the time between now and my last solo CD. I completed the Lucky Man CD and released it at the end of 2011. Around that same time I got a call from my old friend Jimmy Muffin (AKA Jimmy Yessian) asking if I would like to participate in a monthly dinner at his house to talk about music. I said yes. And so did four other songwriter friends. Our first meeting was in January, 2012. We decided then that not only were we going to discuss the music business, but we were going to assign a songwriting prompt or challenge for each of us to write a song for the next month. So it began. Each month we meet for dinner, which Jimmy prepares so graciously, followed by each of us playing our song from last month's prompt. Then together we decide what the next prompt will be.

After 9 or 10 months of surprisingly good songs from each of us, we decided to play as a band. In this way the Tall Men Group was born. The following year we released our first album of songs, 12 by 6. Then came our second album 2 Tall, followed by a third, Feast, and a fourth with less of a band sound called Stripped Down. Somewhere after the fourth album, we lost one member of the band, Jeff Kossack. But the five remaining members (Jimmy Yessian, Marty Axelrod, Ed Tree, John Stowers, and Severin Browne) went on to make a fifth album simply called 5. That was in November of 2019.

 Now the band and the song challenges continue...
